Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I am extremely disappointed and concerned after our experience at Cassidy’s Corner today. This is NOT a safe place for someone with a serious nut allergy. My friend has a severe cashew allergy, and we were aware that their vegan cream cheese is made with cashews. She specifically asked for NO cream cheese on her sandwich. When she received it, there was no visible cream cheese, so she ate it trusting that her request had been followed. Unfortunately, they had put a layer of cream cheese underneath the egg where she could not see it. As a result, she went into anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the hospital. This is completely unacceptable. Food allergies are not preferences, and requests like this cannot be taken lightly. At the end of the day, if a restaurant says they can accommodate an allergy or remove an allergen from an order, they need to follow through. A mistake like this can cost someone their life. We will not be returning to Cassidy’s Corner or recommending it to others. I truly hope they take this situation seriously and make changes to how allergy-related orders are handled so this does not happen to someone else.

Customer service tried. That was nice. Seems like the manager thought it was funny to everyone after that that she said the fish was from Costco. I was nice and sincere asking where the fish came from. I notice people very well so when she said that and they all turned to themselves giggling I knew that they must have upselled the salmon saying it was Costco. I would give a one star but the cheese made it taste better. It’s concerning when no one knows where the fish here comes from and the manager thinks it’s so funny giving me Costco as an answer. Thanks Cassidy I’d rather deal with a filet o fish for how you treated me. It’s probably healthier. All I wanted was answers. Not to be laughed at. I pay a lot of money for good fish. And for your price. I’d rather go to Costco. Good job upselling this business. I so felt your answer made you all feel better than me. Get fish elsewhere everyone. You’re better off getting Costco salmon, a bag a bag of bagels and some cream cheese. Ask where the fish comes from see if you get the same treatment. If it’s farmed. Go deal with yourself and don’t get laughed at by these little miss overprivlages. 2 stars because the bagels are good

Saturday morning arrived at 6:15am. Food and coffee is great. Other locations are great. This one is so so. Only two workers are there in the morning and the line was getting super long and customers were getting an impatient. I hope they hire at least two more people to handle the morning rush.

The star reviews are a bit generous. Although it was a nice place to get breakfast, if you order take out definitely CHECK YOUR FOOD before you leave. 90% of the time I decide to order an add-on item, it’s forgotten and I’ve let it slide one too many times. It seems they don’t ever read that line on the receipt. Which leads me to whoever prepared my order yesterday, forget even it not being toasted at all, this person let a MOLDY bagel slide and is the main reason why I’m leaving this review. I strongly recommend a few of these issues to be revisited during staff training..

They specialize in bagels, and I can tell! My lox and sesame bagel was so perfect! Crispy, chewy bagel, a good portion of lox and cream cheese. And they cut it in half, for easy eating! The guy at the counter was very kind and personable. And they carry Pressed Juicery, total bonus because it's hard to find this when you're not in LA proper. I'll gladly return!
